Introversion

According to Wikipedia Introverts are more reserved, less outgoing, and less sociable. They are not necessarily loners, but they tend to have smaller circles of friends, and are less likely to thrive on making new social contacts. They generally do not need to seek out excitement in others because they are already stimulated with their own thoughts and imagination.

Introversion is not the same as shyness. Introverts choose solitary over social activities by preference, whereas shy people avoid social encounters out of fear.

A questionnaire consisting of ten "agree or disagree" statements. If you agree for the last five questions, there is no doubt that you are Introvert.

1. I am the life of the party.

2. I enjoy being the center of attention.

3. I am skilled in handling social situations.

4. I like to be where the action is.

5. I make new friends easily.

6. I am quiet around strangers.

7. I don't like to draw attention to myself.

8. I don't like to party on the weekends.

9. I like to work independently.

10. I often enjoy spending time by myself.

Interview

Good day!

Hmmm… among the data gathering techniques that has been mentioned I am comfortable with interviewing. Though I am an introvert, I am not that bad in dealing with some people (especially when I know personally the interviewee). In interviewing I could easily gather the most important data that I need, I could easily ask some questions that would pop-up from my mind in the middle of our interview (though this is case-to-case basis). I could easily understand the data when they are explained well to me, so using the other techniques isn’t enough for me to understand and gather important details.

SDLC model…Predictive…Adaptive…

Planning from the beginning up to the end is easy. After that life would flow smoothly according to plan, but what if a problem would arise? What would you do?

Using a predictive approach in life is like playing chess. You always predict what would be your opponent's next move. And when some things happen that was not according to your plan your game plan would fail and you would lose the game. I was just like that back then; I used to plan things in order to achieve my objectives. But when I have encountered a problem, I don’t know how to solve it and so my plan failed. It’s hard to accept that the plan that you think was already perfect would just be ruined with just one simple problem that you might just have over-looked as you plan things.

After this tragic event, I combined the predictive and adaptive approaches. Using the adaptive approach I have options on what road to take without worrying that my plan might fail.
